Lancashire Adoption Service: Information Evenings

Date and time:
31 Oct 2011 - 7:00pm to 9:00pm
Venue address:
Assembly Room, County Hall, Fishergate Hill, Pitt Street, Preston
PR1 8XJ

Could you consider adopting and offering a permanent home and family to a child who is not able to live with their birth family? Come along to one of our three information evenings being held from 7:00pm – 9:00pm during National Adoption Week to find out more. People who have adopted will be there to share their experiences. Social Workers will also be available to answer any questions you might have and to talk you through the process and to offer you confidential advice. We need people from all backgrounds. You must be over 21, but whatever your race, gender, sexuality, living arrangements, age and employment status we want to hear from you. What matters to us are your personal qualities and that you are able to provide a loving home where you can support and look after a child throughout their childhood and beyond. We're especially trying to find adoptive parents for:

  • School age children
  • Children with uncertain medical issues
  • Children being placed with their siblings
  • Boys of all ages
  • Dual heritage or ethnic minority children of all ages
  • Children with disabilities

There are also younger children (aged 1-3) who are ready to be adopted. There will be an informative presentation at each of these information evenings at 7:15pm and 8:15pm.
